Happy 2017

Good Morning World! Happy 2017

I realized I didn’t much blog last year, at all! I did however write a book. I sent it off to several publishers just before mercury went retrograde in December 2016, fingers crossed I’ll be a published author soon.

My year definitely started off with an unusual twist. I usually spend the first day setting up my vision board for the new year. Last year I created a beautiful PowerPoint presentation that I transformed into a screensaver that changed every 15 seconds so I could watch it each morning and run through my affirmations while tapping them into my consciousness via my thymus.

This year I fell ill just as the new year was approaching and I was too sick to dedicate much time and energy to my visions. However, I did attempt to start several times but just couldn’t follow through. On January 2nd, I was taken away by ambulance because my throat closed and I couldn’t breathe. I lay in the hospital for hours, unable to sleep with the constant chatter of nurses, doctors and other sick patients. In my room the constant noise of machines spitting up of reports, beeping when my breathing changed, blood pressure pump starting up every 15 minutes, heart monitor, etc. was not conducive to sleep.

I lay there trying to block out the obtrusive florescent lighting and crazy sounds. I began thinking of my health, I’m a fairly healthy person, heck I’m in the business of keeping people healthy. I hike daily for one to one and a half hours in an old growth forest filled with copious amounts of oxygen. I came to the conclusion I was simply cleansing and purging from the year. 2016 was a challenging year, not only for me but for many of us.

I sold my house, ended a twelve-year relationship and moved to a city where I didn’t know anyone on Vancouver Island. I followed my guidance and ended up here in Nanaimo, BC. In fact, I completed several relationships, some with family that broke my heart, some with friends that also broke my heart and some with students, again heart breaking. As I write, I realize just heart breaking 2016 was for me and I am suddenly overwhelmed by my strength and endurance. Listening to that little voice and following our divine plan is not always easy, but I know something awesome will come of it all.

So, yes, I have lots of cleansing to do. I woke up today feeling alive, spiritually alive for the first time since I moved here in August. I have been loving being in nature every day and in constant gratitude, but something just didn’t click. It was like I lost my mojo. I was still following spiritual practice but not whole heartedly.

I started today by sitting in bed with a awesome dark roast cup of coffee in one hand and my journal in the other. Maggie my little schnoodle lay curled up at the end of the bed, opening an eye and looking at me now and then. I pondered what to do and decided to activate my Merkabah. I decided to take several holograms out into the time space continuum for clearing and healing. I chose a focus (my book getting published) and saw what turned up. The holograms that showed up surprised me; Success, Fame, Acknowledgement, Financial Freedom and Creativity. I brought them to the time space continuum and cleaned them up, next to Cosmic Consciousness and filled with them gold, then off to Source and added to each what they asked for.

Success wanted to be connected to the other holograms, Fame wanted influence to assist the masses, Acknowledgement wanted rewards of sorts, Financial Freedom wanted ability to assist and contribute and Creativity wanted to be inspired by Source to assist the collective consciousness to move forward. I filled them all with what they required and brought them back to my physical body. Then I just sat there just thinking, “Huh”.

Next, I decided to pull a card from my deck, WISDOM OF THE HIDDEN REALMS – by Colette Baron-Reid & Jena Della Grottaglia … to decide what my focus for the month should be. I got the Ice Queen.

“Ice Queen  ~  28  ~

ideas preserved, non-action, entitlement

The Ice Queen has come to block your movement for your highest good.  Let your ideas be preserved until later.  You can thaw them out and use them at another time when they will best serve.

The realm of the Ice Queen is the place of nonaction, and now is a perfect time to take a look at how far you’ve come and to ask yourself for a reclarification of your highest goals.

Not all plans can be accomplished at this moment.  In fact, putting them on ice allows for the perfect timing later on.  Don’t be too hasty in trying to reach your goal.  An even better one will present itself if you surrender and spend the winter with the Ice Queen.

Perhaps too, you are trying to do too many things at once.  This is a good occasion to choose only one thing to focus on and let the Ice Queen put the others in the deep freeze until a more appropriate time.  She’ll let you know when it’s time to let them thaw.”

Wow, it suddenly dawned on me. I try to do too much! Like in a big, huge way too much. Take last years’ vision board for instance, it was 33 pages. I must be insane, make no wonder my life went into turmoil! How can one person expect to do or change so many things and have life purr along without consequence? So, I stopped, and chose to focus on what I had just done, my Merkabah activations. I will continue with them throughout January.

I hopped out of bed, thrilled with myself for not adding too much to my plate and began preparing some food. I do tend to eat strange things for breakfast so if this might sound weird. I chose a bunch of spinach and a half of left over chicken breast from yesterday. I just put the spinach in the pan right from the sink after rinsing it so I didn’t need oil. Once it was half cooked I sliced up my chicken placed it on top and added some miso gravy. I chose a smaller plate than normal and instead of putting it all onto the dish, I took two thirds.

As I sat down, I could tell a shift had occurred. I decided to become the observer and watch. I began with a prayer of gratitude than began to eat. I made a conscious choice to put my fork down after each bite. I made eating a meditation, I felt my food. The texture, the taste, the sensation of my body accepting this nutritious meal. I took my time, chewed and finished each mouthful completely before shoveling in the next bite. No distractions, no TV, no music, no reading, just me and my food. In that moment, I made the commitment to eat all my meals like this from now on. No more shoveling food in to fill the hunger between clients or activities, no more eating on the run, no more reading at the dinner table, just me honouring the food and its healing effects on my body.

There is a minimum of eight levels of consciousness required for this choice alone.

  • Give gratitude while preparing food
  • Take only 2/3 of what is prepared
  • Make a prayer of thanks to the elementals beings who provided the food (vegetables, fruits or animals)
  • Remove all distractions, TV or reading/writing
  • Take a bite and chew it, feel it and taste it, then finish it (3 things)
  • Take another bite and do the same until complete

Then there was my second epiphany for the morning regarding doing too much. If my only vision for the year was say, health, what would that include? Well there’s the element of food which includes healthy choices, cooking styles, preparation and how to eat healthy. Then there’s activity, fitting in time, which type of activities support your body type, regularity and taking care of your post work out body with stretching and body rolling. Then there’s supplementation, making sure your nutritionally sound and taking the appropriate supplements for your body type based on your food and activities. Then there’s getting out and having fun and being fulfilled, that is critical to our health. What about balance?

My God, making one choice, just to be healthy includes changing our consciousness about literally dozens of things!!! No wonder so many people fail their new year’s resolutions. I’m pretty sure my vision board this year will only have a 3 items on it for 2017. Those alone will morph into dozens of positive modifications … yup, I’m sure glad the Ice Queen showed up this morning.

I’d like to end my first blog of the year with a video for you all, blessings…carol

“The Power” and the Tipping Point

This year when I was making my Christmas Card I realized I haven’t written much at all and figured I better get something on paper; or the computer.

I listened to the audio book “The Power” at the beginning of the year and set an intention to be more positive than fear based or negative and to reach a 55% tipping point of love. I set out by looking for my triggers, the small thought processes that most of us don’t consider and well, it didn’t take long for me to identify a few. If you are looking to reset your feelings and energy level, “The Power” will help you do just that.

8579016

So somehow bitching about some of the challenges we face and focusing on the conspiracies behind high gas prices, the cost of new homes in the Vancouver lower mainland or our plummeting dollar just holds so much negativity it’s not worth going there.

I decided to share some of the solutions I came up with that might help you do some shifting of your own. Listening to the book, reminded me of things that I already know, but it also got me excited about creating shifts and experimenting with the concepts. Those of you who know me, realize I don’t just read something and believe. I am a “prove it” kind of gal. My life is usually has several experiments going on at once. It’s how I learn, prove theories, grow, adapt my work and improve.

The first thing I did was create a vision board that had affirmations and photos that I put on my desktop. The slides change every  seconds which is just long enough for me to say the affirmation and feel what I am creating.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

So I began to observe. Trying to remain in a state of love 24/7 is quite challenging in our time. The pace of everyday life is faster and with that comes more triggers. As I observed myself and my thoughts in certain situations, I realized that standing in line-ups generated a ton of negative thoughts. Not bad ones, but negative all the same. The idea of reaching a greater tipping point of love is to be love. I found myself thinking things like:

  • “I always choose the slow line.”
  • “Doesn’t anyone work, why are they all shopping now?”
  • Judging what I consider to be others poor food choices.
  • Focusing on screaming children and wondering how much sugar they were jacked up on.
  • Wondering what took people so long to pack their groceries.
  • …and….and….

So it hit me, yikes this is all so negative and judging, WHAT…I needed a new strategy.

  1. So now when I am forced to stand in line, I do several things. I begin going through my gratitude list, starting with the fact that I have the time and money and privilege to be in a store buying what I need or want.
  2. I smile and begin sending love and blessings to those around me.
  3. I chat to those little screaming tikes and get them laughing, giving the parent a break.
  4. I practice random acts of kindness if possible.
  5. I send grace and blessings to those who appear to be in need.

Turns out my shopping experiences are much more pleasant and I meet some pretty interesting people now.

There are 3 quotes from “The Power” that correspond with what I’m doing and they are:

  • “Life isn’t happening to you; life is responding to you.”
  • “Many people don’t know about the power of good feelings, and so their feelings are reactions or responses to what happens to them. They have put their feelings on automatic pilot, instead of deliberately taking charge of them.”
  • “Every single second is an opportunity to change your life, because in any moment you can change the way you feel.”

One of my other triggers is driving, and I do believe that to be one for many of us, lol. It’s that same thing for me about time, and business. I live in one of the fastest going cities in Canada; last time I read the statistics, Surrey acquires 1800 new residents a month, yes that’s right, a month! And you got it, they are all not as good drivers as me, hahaha. knowing the driving experience can thrust me into a negative spiral is 3/4 of the battle. Now when I get in my can I repeat these words, “I have time, I can enjoy a relaxing experience in my car.” I let people in line, I focus on kindness for new drivers, after all I was one too, I sing, I do my affirmations and I get where I’m going in record time feeling terrific. I’m still not perfect, but I’m at least 70% better.

Let’s see, another area I chose to change was how I felt about paying for things. Instead of focusing on, “I shouldn’t buy this, I don’t really need it, I should save my money, I can’t afford this, blah, blah, blah.”

I choose to say, “I have more than enough money for the things I desire and I make great buying choices.” and “I am grateful that money flows to me from so many places, sources and people.”  And…now it does!

So remember, one of the secrets of having the life you want is by tipping the scale toward love and away from negativity. When anything good happens to you in your day, give thanks. It doesn’t matter how small it is, say thank you.

These are just a few examples of what I changed up, there are more of course; in conclusion, I would have to say that my experiment on tipping the scales more toward love was successful and made an obvious difference in my life.

I believe in a spiritual world, one whose inner

most truth we draw breath from.

I believe in a majestic world, full of magnificence

and boundlessness, an outburst of possibility

drifting on an undercurrent of matter, toward

nowhere and everywhere simultaneously.

I believe in a world where I Am that I Am,

a living God and self-actualized Master

who radiates Divine Love.

I believe we can co-create this in a world,

For everyone; Together, Spirit, You and I…

Love Always and Always with Love,

Happy Holidays, Blessings and Wishes for 2016

To: Vilcabamba With: Love and Gratitude

Wow, I can hardly believe I’ve been home from Ecuador for 22 days and haven’t blogged one thing about my trip. I guess there is so much to say, so many experiences to share and so many energies to describe I really didn’t know where to begin.

And then, just like magic it all came flooding in this evening after coming home from a much needed yoga class.

The Place: Healing Movements Yoga Centre     or on   Facebook

It has proven to be my sweet oasis, a safe and healing place that allows me to nourish my body and being on so many levels.

The owners are loving, kind, nurturing and conscious. They have worked hard to create a sacred space where we join together as a community to learn one of the oldest, most powerful and sacred teachings of all time.

It’s the perfect space for those with extensive knowledge of various healing modalities, meditation and yoga, yet comfortable for newcomers who are ready to enter a path of spirit development and de-stress their lives.

1472781_660413780646841_616151370_n

The Instructor: Patricia.

A breeze of fresh air. I peek up and see that she watches the entire class, paying close attention to their body, breath, life force and movement, all while teaching and holding the energy for each person to receive exactly what they require. Magnificent!

Patricia

As I lay in Shavasana at the end of the class in complete gratitude, in comes “spirit” with a message. “Gift your necklace to Patricia”. The necklace is made with a tagua nut seed and crushed rhodochrosite crystal inside. It has kind of a hipster look, not something I’d normally wear but once I put it on, wow! I’m like, “WHAT…I just wore it for the first time today and I fell in love…You gotta be kidding!”

It is said that the meat of the tagua nuts and it’s seeds have the strength and intelligence of an elephant, thus natives of South America call it vegetable ivory. Because of its sanctity and healing properties, tagua has occupied an important place in every aspect of life.

Indigenous healers use tagua to replenish vitality and cure diseases caused by low energy and a weak immune system. It has a direct bearing on our bone marrow.

Tagua corresponds to the sun and the energy corresponding to the solar plexus, and therefore is especially good for enhancing vitality, boosting the immune system, and cultivating will power and determination…Nice, right!

My mind immediately went through all the back and forth arguing and detachment stuff that comes with surrender, then I finally chose to follow my guidance. Something felt off, like it wasn’t a piece she would wear, so after everyone left, I asked her if she would wear a necklace like this, and much to my delight and confusion she said NO. Delighted that I wouldn’t have to give it up, confused about why my guides were telling me to give her this necklace.

Maya was in the car, hungry and ready to go, so I told Patricia that when I got home, I would dowse to see if there was a crystal in the piece she needed. I made it to bed around 10:00 or so and as I began my evening rituals, in the back of my mind, still wondering what was going on, I was given a very cool message…”It’s not the energy of a crystal Pat needs…It’s Vilcabamba”.

And that my friends is how my instructor Patricia inspired me to finally write this blog, here goes…

It’s hard to explain the magical energy of a little town called Vilcabamba in Ecuador. I will start by saying that I have yearned to go to South America for over 30 years, so finally getting to go was a dream come true.

Ecuador, has a wide-range of scenery. Hills and mountains, huge cities and quaint towns, interesting wildlife, amazing flowers and trees, big bugs and beautiful coastlines with wide sandy beaches. I was so fortunate to have seen so much of the country. Transportation in Ecuador is inexpensive and so convenient. You can sit and enjoy the view while others are at the helm. I will blog about other parts of Ecuador in my next blog, for now let’s talk healing.

Nestled on the edge of this remote town sits an oasis, Vilcabamba. I found Vilcabamba to have a deeply spiritual and unique international community that thrives in this “Valley of Longevity.” From a spiritual perspective it is the hard to explain but the energy there is different, it’s a feel good kinda place, the kind that makes you want to be more yourself, more present and in tune with source.

In metaphysical terms:

  • The veil is thinner, so if feels as though you are closer to spirit
  • There are orbs everywhere
  • Thought forms manifest especially fast
  • Synchronicity is unstoppable
  • Almost everything is spirit directed
  • The energy field is clean and pristine
  • It touches a specialness deep within you
  • It transcends boundaries of all types
  • It embraces and connects you on many levels
  • It’s like giving yourself the biggest most loving hug ever

After travelling to over 19 countries and living in several of them, I am confident in saying, “there’s magic in the air”, quite literally in Vilcabamba. I have seen a ton of ET activity and multi-dimensional cross over’s, still, nothing like this.

There’s a cosmic force and a new kind of ET activity happening there. One with a Conscious Rising that is unique and brilliant one that changes perspectives and lives very quickly. I met some great new friends; David and Liz (she is Ecuadorian) who live in Vilcabamba. They say “It’s high energy that will swallow you whole, chew you up and spit up out”. So if you’re looking for change, to get closer to the Divine and really work on yourself and many aspects of your being, this is the perfect place to be. The individuals there, truly are “meant to be there” and a very interesting cast and crew I might add.

I have often wondered how little old me could reach more people, share more love, raise more awareness, somehow open a door for the masses to experience gifts they may never discover on their own. Well, the energy of Vilcabamba allowed me to do just that. I met soooo many awesome people, and one in particular who touched my being and inspired an aha moment…Nelson Denman

Remember the unstoppable synchronicity and transcending boundaries of all types I mentioned? It turns out that with a little support from the cosmos, added with a sparkle or two of fairy dust and an open heart, Nelson and I co-created a simple and effective way to raise the consciousness of groups of people. How you ask? Through Reiki; I had the pleasure of initiating Nelson into Reiki.

He is currently writing and composing a folk opera entitled: “The Rights of Nature.” Nelson is an accomplished musician and cellist. He is spiritual, with real heart and creative inspiration running through his being. If you follow the link you can stay up to date with his project.

Nelson’s accomplishments are many, he performs and teaches guitar, bass, violin and cello and has collaborated musically with Paul Winter, Larry Littlebird, Peter Kater, Robert Sequoia, Consuelo Luz, Richard Russell and many others. He plays cello on the CD of the World Premiere of Voyages by Paul Cisze. He has completed 2 CDs of music: Earth Doctor, The Chakra Mode Cycle, and is working on Slack Key Cello.

Now every time Nelson plays to an audience or anyone, that Reiki energy is going out there with his intention, passion and music…Well Done! I was also guided to activate and initiate his three fold flame (Love, Power and Wisdom) so that when others hear his music theirs will also be activated. As Vilcabamba and Nelson magic would have it, Dominique and I were the first to receive and experience the gift of Nelson’s cello and new vibration that day. How enchanting. I so encourage you to hear him play.

Vilcabamba inspires you to touch a specialness deep within yourself in remarkable ways:

  • I had the pleasure and company of two amazing individuals, then I taught them (David and Liz) how to activate their 3 breath Merkabah, now they can really shake things up in town, lol.

  • It was a delight to work with another awesome, high vibration woman named Ann.

  • I taught 14 year old Cort how to dowse and spend a touching evening with his parents.

  • We played and prayed with orbs in the woods at night.

  • I learned how much commitment is needed to deliver great photographs from Paul, not many people can snap a great picture of me. Kudos Paul.

  • Most importantly I re-connected with Dominique, a beloved friend who I hadn’t spent real quality time for years., It too was magical in many new and powerful ways. Wow, did we do loads of spiritual work and have tons of fun!

Dominique and I stayed at a place called Rumi Wilco. It was a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Vilcabamba. Rumi Wilco is an Ecolodge that provides a human habitat within the only remaining semi-natural protected setting in the valley. We stayed in one of the River Cabins which are located in the midst of nature, a healing river and surrounded with 12 trails to explore. The cabin was the perfect size for us, with a well equipped kitchen and the most comfortable beds you can imagine.

Every morning we wake up to the sound of the river and songbirds in the background. We had a gorgeous path through the forest daily, encounters with donkeys and cows, a river filled with quartz crystal, cool stone walls and domes in the middle of the forest and vibrant butterflies… fairly normal stuff for our daily trek to town and back.

Vilcabamba, is remarkably free from most kinds of pollution: electromagnetic, air and water. No planes overhead dropping chemtrails on the population, either. The ground water is amazingly clean because it’s recharged from rainfall on the nearby Podocarpus National Forest, where water flows down into the valley on a regular basis. It creates a unique situation for several types of healing. This leaves the air remarkably clean and energetically perfect for a great night’s sleep. I haven’t slept that well in 12 years…seriously.

Another grand design and wonderful manifestation was the convenience of our friend Paul, staying in town at Le Rendez-Vous. A quaint, beautiful hostal with gardens and mountain views from each adobe style room. After our 20 min trek through the forest with backpacks on in the heat, we were grateful to have access to Paul’s space. We were always welcomed with a warm smile and a glass of water. We had access to his Wi-Fi so we could skype with loved ones and change from our sneakers and damp clothes into our flip flops and sundresses before heading to the main square. Thanks Paul!

Practically every restaurant around Vilcabamba serves fresh, raw fruit juices. Organic food is everywhere. I have to say that the environment energetically supports self development and spiritual awakening, whether you see it coming or not. The people in Vilcabamba are relaxed, welcoming, helpful, considerate and oh ever so interesting.

Food production in the Valley of Longevity is so easy and abundant that it’s almost hard to believe. In mere weeks, you can grow a huge garden full of vegetables from the rich topsoil. In a few months, you can grow papayas, figs, babacos and berries. And…believe it or not, in a few years, you could have your own orchard of oranges, macadamia nuts, jungle almonds, noni fruit, avocados and much more if you wanted to. This is one of the reasons that Dominique is thinking of selling her beautiful home in Salinas, to buy a farm in Vilcabamba. We were lucky enough to experience some great fresh fruits and veggies while staying with Elizabeth (Liz) and David, they have amazing gardens, fruit trees and animals. I know it is a lot of work, and Liz certainly loves it and puts her heart and soul into it daily.

Dominique and I did most of our own cooking. We did our big shop in Loja 4 minutes from town before we arrived. It was hilarious watching 7 bags of groceries and two suitcases being packed in a wheel barrel through the bush to get to our cabin. The Sunday markets, both in Vilcabamba and Malecatos are amazing, check out the photos from Paul below.

The essence of Palo-Santo loomed everywhere, in shops and from venders in the square. Palo Santo is a mystical tree that grows on the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal.  In Spanish, the name literally means “Holy Wood”.

It is an uplifting scent that raises your vibration in preparation for meditation and allows for a deeper connection to Source.  It is also said that Palo Santo enhances creativity (sniffing it now as I write, lol) and brings good fortune to those who are open to its Magic.  It is burned in ceremonies by Shamans and Medicine people for its energetically cleansing and healing properties similar to Sage. I am so grateful that I brought some home with me, the smell is a reminder of the energy and essence of Vilcabamba.

Wow, writing this blog and emailing my new friends, makes me want to move there…No wonder Pat’s spirit wants to connect with the vigour and power of Vilcabamba…who wouldn’t?

I’m glad to have so many reminders that hold this sacred energy with me. I asked the river for a rock, it surprised me with two. I asked Mother Earth for some clay and she gave me a wonderful stone buried within the clay. I asked for cleansing I received Palo-Santo. I asked for strength and vitality and I received a beautiful tagua nut seed necklace. All these gifts hold the energy and magic of the “Valley of Longevity” within them and reminders of the heart connections I made that will forever remain in my soul.

Re-capping 2012 and looking forward to 2013

Hmmm, where to begin my reflections of 2012…Generally speaking I would venture to say it was a pretty low, key and relaxing year. My New Years resolution is more or less always the same: be a more loving, compassionate person, follow my guidance and create inner peace, find balance and go with the flow. This year I decided that since it was the year of the great shift I would spend less time working on others and more time enjoying life and bringing more balance into my life.

Balance is a funny thing, take the symbolism of the scales, the slightest weight (say a feather) added or removed on either side completely shifts the whole.

Balance

noun

  1. a state of equilibrium or equipoise; equal distribution of weight, amount, etc.
  2. something used to produce equilibrium; counterpoise.
  3. mental steadiness or emotional stability; habit of calm behavior, judgment, etc.
  4. a state of bodily equilibrium: He lost his balance and fell down the stairs.
  5. an instrument for determining weight, typically by the equilibrium of a bar with a fulcrum at the center, from each end of which is suspended a scale or pan, one holding an object of known weight, and the other holding the object to be weighed.

As a Libra rising with a Libra moon, balance has become an obsession for me at times. Several years ago I came to a bizarre understanding;  finding balance meant considering and being conscious of imbalance first. I think that tipping the scales in the extreme opposites for so many years had allowed me to finally find the balance point and a state of equilibrium. After all that seeking, finding and integrating I have come to realize that although balance is a much sought after state, it is the highs and lows in life that are the real memory makers.

That being said, I tipped the scales toward relaxation, I spent more time in nature and at the beach, read more, started painting again, meditated more, and connected with others more. I guess you could say it was balanced relaxation, this was clearly reflected in the bottom line of my business when the bookkeeper paid me a visit last month, yikes!

So, the biggest highlights of 2012 was the travel.

  • A trip to Costa Rica in March/April that was relaxing, healing and a wonderful spiritual retreat https://carollefevre.wordpress.com/2012/05/07/personal-healing-retreat
  • A short trip to the sunshine coast, Sechelt allowed me to re-connect with previous clients and students while I had an opportunity to facilitate a Holographic Healing workshop. I stayed with a friend I hadn’t connected with for 5 years, it was so nice to spend some time with her and re-connect. http://www.soulalchemyhealing.com/the-melchizedek-method.html
  • I went to the Island, Parksville to help out a dear friend and her husband. It was an intense visit. I mostly worked, I was able to see 9 clients there and did 4 sessions on her husband Richard who had a seizure last year and has completely lost his memory, I mean everything! He didn’t even remember her. And so yet another walk-in has arrived to the earth plane! I pray for his speedy integration.
  • I went to Edmonton in August and re-united with family I hadn’t seen in over 35 years, re-connected with dear friends and had an absolute blast. My beautiful cousin Juanita is an absolute joy to hang with! I soooo wish we lived closer to each other. I had the pleasure of teaching a mini holographic healing workshop there and we did some feng shui in her home. I was able to lend a hand to Deborah an absolutely amazing woman and dear, dear friend while I was there too. OMG, so many things happened in that week it makes my head spin! Everything from yoga, being rescued by a dreamy firefighter, to Drag Queen charity events…wow! I did some serious scale tipping here.
  • Then there was the 10 day silent retreat in Merritt, BC which has definitely changed my life…forever  https://carollefevre.wordpress.com/2012/11/12/10-days-of-silence
  • Then there was the visit here from my gorgeous sister and wonderful mother. Karen and I laughed so hard in the canoe I thought I would pee my pants. I tried to get out on a sandbar and fell in! Watching Karen made me realize how similar I was at her age and how much my values have changed. I am grateful that she decided to come for a visit even though some of our expectations were not met. In the weeks that followed we texted our frustrations and irritations to one another and when it was all over we managed to get back to LOVE. Mom and I started spray it away and mom lost 33lbs in less than 2 months. I lost 15 even with my slip ups 🙂 All in all it was a great visit.

Let’s see…the other BIG thing that happened in 2012 was that I was registered with vital statistics to legally perform weddings, this was a huge breakthrough for me, and so exciting. https://carollefevre.wordpress.com/2012/05/22/its-official-im-official

It was a privilege to marry these two seniors in our home.

Wedding at our home

I took time out to read, and to read something that wasn’t work related. When I say work related I mean anything spiritual. Yep, I read “The fifty shades of grey” series. Entertaining and maybe a little educational…wink, wink!

books

I made it a point to start painting again, and finally managed to bond with acrylic…YES! Here are a couple photos to show you my progress. I decided to create a gallery page on my blog as well. Here is a page with some of my art and the process I went through https://carollefevre.wordpress.com/painting-gallery and here is the blog from when I first started painting: https://carollefevre.wordpress.com/2011/11/02/when-all-hell-breaks-loose-paint

I tried something new this year…a piercing. It was an experience I was going to blog about and chose not to. Why, you ask. Well it’s a little personal and I realized that I would take up an entire blog just venting and raging about an experience that still leaves me frustrated and incomplete. Kelly, the owner should thank Vipassana Meditation, not writing the blog has likely saved West Coast Piercing big money.

The bottom line is that I had a botched piercing done by the manager, who has 5 years experience. After 3 visits I contacted the owner, then after some 18 emails, 2 more visits and a re-piercing I am still not satisfied, not to mention that it has cost me 3 times the average price for this type of piercing. If anyone needs some jewellery, I have lots now…

Hmmmm, what else…I began working on my thesis for my Masters in Metaphysics, not so much writing it but doing lots of research. I am hoping to finish it this year…still undecided about the subject. I am considering paradigm shifts, meditation or something about the programming of the unconscious mind. I’m open to any ideas anyone out there may have.

Oh, I nearly forgot, we finally got our hallway, dining room and living room painted this year. It was a nightmare. The previous owners slapped paint on and got it all over the wooden trim. We spent hours upon hours cleaning it off with mild nail polish remover before we could actually paint. All the wooden trim, windows and vaulted ceilings made the process long and strenuous and it looks beautiful now that it is complete.

Oh, one more thing, I learned how to create my own websites. It is so rewarding being able to go onto my site and change things when I want to. I made three new sites and updated the look of my blog. The sites are:

This encouraged me to register my new company: New Perspectives Ministry

So what lies ahead for 2013? Well I have been thinking about that, quite a bit. This is the first year in 12 that I did not do a collage on January 1st. In fact I have decided to take the four that I have up down. I am in detachment mode I suppose. My visions/goals seem to be the same from year to year:

  • Inner Peace
  • The world a loving place
  • Abundance for all
  • Great Health
  • Happy and Healthy Relationships
  • Comfortable Home
  • Excellent Divine Guidance
  • Personal Growth

I am fortunate that for the most part I have all these things. I guess the difference is wanting vs needing. Do I desire a bigger home, more money and a more loving planet…Hell Yes. Am I grateful for the love, abundance, comfort and peace in my life now…Hell Yes! So my focus remains the same; be a more loving, compassionate person, always follow my guidance, create inner peace, find balance and go with the flow, and above all find equanimity in all things.

My dear friends, clients, fellow bloggers and readers; with all my heart, I wish you more magic and miracles than you could imagine would come your way in order for you all to create the reality you desire in 2013…Happy New Year.

May Blessing Abound in your Life Today and Always,

Rev. Carol Lefevre

What is Spiritual Coaching?

Who is a Spiritual Coach?

A spiritual coach is similar to a life coach only for those on a spiritual path or those who would like to become more self-aware. Instead of focusing on external factors of your life, a spiritual coach focuses on the inner workings of your mind, body, and soul. Spiritual coaches assists you in the process of self-discovery and spirituality which in turn can be used to overcome some of life’s greatest challenges. This type of coaching can assist you to break free of  lifetime’s worth of limitations, suffering, pain and help you find real joy and true peace.

Research shows that things such as positive beliefs, comfort and strength gained from religion, meditation and prayer can contribute to healing and a sense of well-being. Improving our spiritual health may not cure an illness, but it may help us feel better, prevent some health problems and help us cope better with illness or death.

Religious and spiritual beliefs are an important part of how many people deal with life’s joys, prosperity and hardships. Faith can provide people with a sense of purpose and clearer guidelines for living and insights into the self.

This type of coaching leads client’s to deep personal transformation. Coaches help their clients improve certain areas of their life, such as determining their spiritual path, how to proceed on their spiritual journey, and how to shrug off the negative events that seem to occur daily.  Spiritual coaches often facilitate a process that teaches you to how to live from a higher level of conscious awareness, how to deal with your feelings, needs, desires, dreams and goals and then manifest them.

The Concept

The concept that we create our own reality is more widespread than ever before. In our parent’s generation and before, this concept was known only to a few. Those few were mainly mystics and shamans. Now discoveries and experiments in quantum physics prove the truth of this concept. Mystics, shamans and some quantum physicists know that we create our reality by our thoughts, beliefs and perceptions.

We are actually more powerful than we can even imagine. For most of us, though, our experience tells us something entirely different. We feel that we are at the mercy of an outward reality, the victims of circumstances beyond our control. We work harder and harder, thinking that if only we have more money, more time, the right pill, the right family, more love, or a better job that we will finally be whole and happy. We try to change and control the circumstances and people around us in order to feel empowered.

As a Minister and Metaphysical Practitioner, Carol understands about trying to change and control things outside of ourselves such as power. When the energy of the soul is recognized, acknowledged, and valued, it begins to infuse the life of the personality. When the personality comes fully to serve the energy of its soul it is authentic empowerment. This is the goal of the evolutionary process in which we are involved and the reason for our being.

Carol chose the name Soul Alchemy Healing because it describes how this process from external power to authentic power happens. The true transmutation that comes from aligning the personality with the energy of our soul can only be done by a journey from unconsciousness to consciousness. This process of miraculous change happens by taking a journey inside.

Awareness

The spiritual tools, techniques, exercises and disciplines taught through the spiritual coaching techniques at Soul Alchemy Healing are pathways to our inner world. This journey within enables students and clients to become aware of how they see and experience their lives, getting them in touch with their underlying and unconscious beliefs, perceptions and thoughts. Without this awareness we are at the mercy of a reality created by our unconscious beliefs.

Awareness is only the first step in the alchemical process. The Talmud says, “We don’t see things as they are, but as we are.” If we believe ourselves, and therefore our souls, to be unlovable, unworthy, and powerless, then we will experience ourselves to be these things. The Truth is that each soul is a unique expression of the Divine, a spark from the flame that is the Creator. Awareness shows us what our beliefs are and how those beliefs have actually created our reality. By becoming aware, we can then change our beliefs.

Changes

Changing what we say we believe is not enough because supporting our old beliefs are habitual thought, perceptual and energetic patterns. These habitual patterns have to be changed also in order for lasting transformation to occur. Working with these habitual patterns requires us to develop and maintain a spiritual practice. The tools, techniques and exercises taught through Soul Alchemy can be used by clients and students to develop their own unique spiritual practice, which can bring every aspect of their lives into alignment with their divine essence. This is authentic empowerment.

Yikes, me turning 50 years old, is this right?

Last week was an extremely challenging one for my husband and I. Loss is always heartbreaking, a little disorienting and quite uncomfortable. After spending most of my actual birthday day in shock and crying, I’m so very grateful for the b-day luncheon that John and my wonderful friends had to help me celebrate my 50th solar return. April 28th, 1961 @ 4:01 pm, Kirkland Lake, Ontario

For all you astrologers out there, my birthchart

Nothing can express the joy that sang in my heart from being with friends I haven’t seen for years and sharing time with new friends I have come to treasure. The luncheon was so fabulous and continued into the evening.

Friendships bring elements of stability, intimacy, emotional security, positive feelings and self-validation to our lives. Over the years I’ve realized that not all friends serve the same purpose in our life.  One friend might challenge us intellectually, while another provides emotional solace when things get tough. When I looked at the beautiful faces around the table I was deeply touched and appreciative of the many levels and quality of friendship that this precious group held.

Jackie a best friend from the past,  so much so that at times we had been inseparable; gosh, we’ve known each other 30 years! As it often does, life got in the way and it was 8 plus years since we’ve seen one another; within a few moments it was like we never missed a step.

She blessed us with a surprise new man,  Lou great guy, I’m looking forward to getting to know him better.

Carol, wow 27 years we’ve been friends; she has always been a constant in my life, through tears, celebrations and everyday stuff, her husband Michael is a rock and a softy whom I also love.

Beach friends, Shelley and Todd; what happens on the beach, stays on the beach! Except these lovely souls made it off the beach and into our hearts, we always have a pleasant time when we see them.

Nancy, dear Nancy. A powerful Goddess and fantastic friend for 12 years or so now; this one knows how to tell a GREAT true story, love ya.

Christine, my sweet new friend who is so kind and loving, always willing to give encouragement and listen; she is my get out of town Goddess friend for those days we can’t take one more moment of life and shoot off somewhere to escape.

Christine (left) Ann (right)

Ann, also a new friend she always needs to know, this keeps her searching and getting solutions, one day she’ll tell us all the answers; Ann makes herself available for others in so many ways, she is extraordinary.

Shelley,  a beautiful blossoming spirit, I love watching her shift and change, she has grace and the courage of a warrior.

Michel is my workout friend, we committed to several months to training last year so I saw him almost daily for 4  1/2 months.

His wife Serita is a patient and loving women who works way to hard! Thanks for all those entertaining mornings of conversation while doing cardio and solving the problems of the world.

And last but not least my best friend, John. This man is simply amazing, a real saint, after all, look what he has to live with; he is the yang in my yin, John adds so many precious elements to my life that I’m in tears writing about it. Balance, stability and so very much love; I give gratitude daily for our companionship.

After having a fun evening with friends, laughing those hardy belly laughs, feeling all social, happy and carefree for the first time in a while I got up feeling a little, hmmm, let’s say, ” harsh ” I just can’t drink as much alcohol these days!

Jackie, Me, Nancy and Carol on top of us

As I looked in the mirror the next morning, I mean REALLY looked in the mirror, I was a little shocked! I admit; I still seem to have a vision of the fresh-faced 30-year old version of myself dancing around in my head and I continue to reinforce this image with my old photo albums. I looked again; ” Yep, it’s the real me, hung over but me, complete with crows feet, frown lines, newly sprouting…  ug, jowls, and those oh-so-special baby “marionette” lines.” Sigh!

I still have this glorious perception that a woman can be valued for her brains and not just for her face – this makes it possible for us Goddesses to become 50 and not grieve.  It enables us to choose and do meaningful work. So what the hell, “forget about what you’re seeing, it’s an illusion anyhow”, I tell myself. Surely there must be some practical application for those string theories, quantum physics,  black holes and future timelines.  “God I must be part way there by now” I tell myself, after all I have been heavily invested in the law of attraction, positively affirming my life, a somewhat healthy lifestyle and all those so called quirky metaphysical whatnots for years.

I have even managed to change some basic and proverbial paradigms.  For instance my paradigms related to everyday experiences like having dirty dishes in the sink. Now having dirty dishes in the sink isn’t the end of the world, I’ve moved to a new paradigm in which it simply means we’ve had another fine meal and are practicing the art of relaxation. Brilliant!

With that awareness, I take a step back, close my eyes and realize some truths, at least they are truths today:

  • At 50, I now understand what was vague to me at 30
  • I realize that I won’t have time to do everything, so what I choose to do I consider to be important
  • I seem to find profound spiritual meaning in the simplest everyday experiences.
  • I need reading glasses to increase the size of the ridiculously small font on today’s supplement containers. In fact I see the number of people needing to use them for this reason has increased exponentially (it is smaller font, right?
  • “Fifty is the new forty” or as my friend Jackie says, “Fifty is the new twenty five” this phrase reflects a renewed energy; everyone is saying it, so it must be true. It’s likely the result of improvements to our diets, spiritual connections, embracing healthier lifestyles and integrating the previous 40 years of our lives on many levels.
  • Turning 50 comes with a huge respect more than ever before of diversity, unity and co-creation.
  • I now have a greater appreciation for time over money; time is one of my most valuable commodities at this point in life. I’d rather work smarter than harder and create more time to just be, with myself, family or God.
  • Living in the present is so much easier now, not being able to remember everything has certainly helped! It’s all about trust and knowing and trust and being and trust and, did I mention TRUST?
  • It’s a time when it’s easier to separate myself from what other people expect of me, and do what I love without guilt or regret or being worried about what anyone thinks.
  • I appreciate that I’m not really working for myself, I’m employed by God, doing service for humanity and that together we really are making positive differences.
  • I have more energy, less anxiety, a stronger immune system, and an unbelievable  overall great attitude, in my youth, it never would have occurred to me that being 50 could feel this good.

The only major drawback to entering my fifties seems to be the assumption that life will soon begin to accelerate in a downhill motion. It appears the only thing left to do is change that paradigm, after all, I hang out with folks in their 60’s, 70’s and 80’s who are still kicking butt and having a blast doing it. There is little else to say other than, at age 50 I am for the most part happy and grateful to be an empowered woman!

The Empowered Woman

The Empowered Woman, she moves through the world
with a sense of confidence and grace.
Her once reckless spirit now tempered by wisdom.
Quietly, yet firmly, she speaks her truth without doubt or  hesitation
and the life she leads is of her own creation.

She now understands what it means to live and let live.
How much to ask for herself and how much to give.
She has a strong, yet generous heart
and the inner beauty she emanates truly sets her apart.
Like the mythical Phoenix,
she has risen from the ashes and soared to a new plane of existence,
unfettered by the things that once that posed such resistance. Her senses now heightened, she sees everything so clearly.
She hears the wind rustling through the trees;
beckoning her to live the dreams she holds so dearly.
She feels the softness of her hands
and muses at the strength that they possess.
Her needs and desires she has learned to express.
She has tasted the bitter and savored the sweet fruits of life,
overcome adversity and pushed past heartache and strife.

And the one thing she never understood,
she now knows to be true,
it all begins and ends with you.
